Where Art Meets You

Our Airbnb was created as a small, livable gallery—a place where art and everyday life naturally blend. Each corner features pieces by Costa Rican artists, inviting guests to slow down, feel at ease, and connect with the local creative spirit. More than a stay, it’s a space designed to feel calm, welcoming, and genuinely inspired

About the Artists

Elena Sancho

Elena is an artist and engineer whose work is shaped by sensitivity, intention, and a deep appreciation for everyday beauty. After a personal journey that shifted her perspective, she chose to return to art with clarity and purpose, embracing creativity as an essential part of her life. Together with her husband Juan, she created DesestresArte Jaco House—a space where art, calm, and local identity come together naturally.

Alejandro Méndez

Alejandro is a Costa Rican “costumbrista” painter born in San José, he began his artistic path at “Casa del Artista”, where he learned the foundations of color and shadow. His work blends Costa Rican “costumbrismo” with touches of surrealism, portraying the daily life of rural communities — their traditions, surroundings, and the tools that shape their way of living.
